Say out the related sentence pattern using concrete materials.

·       The teacher pictures of 2-D shapes on the board.
·       The teacher asks pupils to come out and label the shapes using word cards.
·       The teacher teach pupils to say out related sentence pattern.
Example:
This is a circle.
This is a square.
This is a oval.
This is rectangle.
This is triangle.


·       The teacher ask  5 pupils to come out.
·       Teacher show 2-D shapes and ask pupils to say the related sentence.

·       Pupils see the shapes that paste by teacher.
·       The 5 pupils will come out and paste the word cards below the shapes correctly.
·       Pupils listen and follow the teacher.
Example:
This is a circle.

·       The 5 pupils will come out and say out the related sentence for the 2-D shapes show by teacher.

·       Teacher asks pupils to list out orally 2-D shapes in the classroom.

Identifying  the 2-D shapes by riddle.

·       The teacher put a 2-D shapes inside a box.
(Do not let pupils see the shape)
·       The teacher post them riddle and ask them to guess the shape.
Example:
   I have 4 corners.
   I have 4 equal sides.
   Who am I?
·       The teacher let a pupil who guesses correctly to open the box and take out the shape to confirm his/her answer.
·       The activity continued with next shape.

·       Pupils get ready for the activity.


·       Pupils listen to riddle . Put up their hands and guess the shape.




·       Pupils who guesses correctly will open the box and take out the shape to confirm their answer.

·       Pupils get ready to answer the next riddle.

Describe and classify 2-D shapes.

·       The teacher divides the pupils into 4 groups.
·       Every group provide with large version of cut-out two 2-D shapes, word card  (name of the shapes) and phrase cards.
·       The teacher asks pupils paste the correct names and features on to the cut-out
2-D shapes and colour the 2-D shapes.
·       The teacher asks each pupil from 4 groups come out and present their work.







·       Pupils get into four groups equally.
·       Pupils get  large version of cut-out two 2-D shapes, word cards  (name of the shapes) and phrase cards from the teacher.
·       Pupils   paste the correct names and features on to the cut-out 2-D shapes and colour the 2-D shapes.

·       The selected pupils will come out and present their work.
